My First $20 Online Changed Everything
You gotta start somewhere
I still vividly remember the day I made my first $20 taking online surveys. It took a couple hours of answering questions about my shopping habits and demographics.
At the time I was skeptical — could I actually make money just giving my opinion on things? But when that $20 hit my bank account, it changed everything.
It hit me that if I could make $20 giving basic opinions online, I could someday earn much more through more involved work. The possibilities seemed endless.
Up until then, I’d doubted making real money online was achievable. That first $20 gave me tangible proof that income streams like freelancing, selling products, affiliate marketing, etc. were legitimate ways to earn.
After that, I dove headfirst into learning digital marketing, social media growth, sales funnels — anything I could about running online businesses. I discovered mentors and communities that further led me down this entrepreneurial path.
Fast forward to today, and I’m now running my own successful blog, SideHustlesForGals.com. I started it this year as a way to share my best tips on making money online with other young women hustlers.
